2016 Young People's Concerts

The Orchestra Olympics
October 18, 2016
9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Each year, more than 3,500 school children enjoy learning about and listening to symphonic music in October or November at live performances by our full orchestra designed especially for young people. These age-appropriate concerts give students the opportunity to experience live orchestral music performed by our full orchestra in a concert hall setting.

This year, students will delight as our orchestra members compete against one another to see who can play the loudest, the quietest, the slowest and the lowest as we pit composers against one another in a contest for the fastest, scariest and, of course, the most fun music ever written.
